Common Name or Meaning Dr Malme's Pleurothallis [Swedish Botanist in Brazil 1800's]

Flower Size .2" [5 mm]

Found in Rio Grande Do Sul state of Brazil in montane primary forests at elevations of 600 to 1000 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 5 brown tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, flat, lanceolate, conduplicate, leathery to stiff leaf that blooms in the spring through earlier summer on a 2.8 to 4.8" [7 to 2 cm] long, mostly simultaneous, 5 to 11 flowered inflorescence.
