Found in Guatemala at elevations 990 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm, pendent growing, caespitose epiphyte with descending ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath and carrying a single, apical, pendent, coriaceous, lanceolate, acute, tridentate apically, cordate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer on a short, single flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at the base of the leaf.
