Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with erect to suberect, cylindrical, ramicauls enveloped by 2, papery bracts and carrying a single, coriaceous, flat, oval, sub-obtuse with a mucro, lightly granular, narrowing below into the pseudo-petiolate base leaf that blooms on 1 to 5 per ramicaul, arising through a spathe, peduncle .64 to .72" [16 to 18 mm] long, subfiliform, provided with a single, sterile bract, rachis fractiflex, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively single, to 10 flowered inflorescence.

Compared to P neodecurva and Pleurothallis melior [Luer & Toscano] in ed. From the first the new species has a shorter peduncle, the pedicellate ovary longer, spathulate petals, and lacks the scaly foot of the column. It differs form the second by the taller plant twice longer ramicauls, narrower leaves, a twice shorter lip, the lack of a column foot, and the tridentate margin of the clinandrium.
