Found in southeastern and southern Brazil low on tree trunks in shade as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool epiphyte with an erect, stiff, fine ramicaul enveloped by a few sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, ovate, acute, dark green to reddish, coriaceous leaf that blooms in the later spring on a fine, 1.2" [3 cm] long, successively 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence
