Common Name The Oblong Leafed Pleurothallis

Found in Cuba, Dominican Republic and Jamaica in wet montane forests at elevations of 900 to 2000 meters, as small sized, warm to cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the winter, spring and summer on an erect, arising laterally from near the apex of the ramicaul through a conspicuous, foliaceous spathe subdense, secund, 4 to 10.4" [10 to 26 cm] long including the 2 to 4.8" [5 to 12 cm] longf peduncle simultaneously several to many flowered inflorescence and has an inflated, shorter to as long as the pedicel floral bract.
