Found in Bolivia and Brazil around Rio de Janiero at elevations around 370 to 600 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing, shortly repent epiphyte with erect, apically widening ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect, round leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a short, arising through a spathe, short, distichous, simultaneously many flowered inflorescence
