Found in Rio de Janiero State of Brazil at elevations around 200 to 600 meters as a creeping, mat forming, mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a very short, repent ramicaul enveloped by 2 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, prostrate, elliptical, rounded, somewhat notched, abruptly narrowing below into the shortly attenuate base leaf that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a spreading to horizontal, .6" [1.5 cm] long peduncle, sussessively single, few flowered inflorescence arising through a short spathe.
