Common Name The Always Flowering Pleurothallis

Found in Surinam, Fr Guiana, Guyana, Carabobo state of Venezuela, Cauca department of Colombia, Napo province of Ecuador and northern Brazil in lowland forests at elevations of 10 to 600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, caespitose epiphyte with slender, erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 thin, tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly obovate, obtuse, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a erect, arising laterally from the ramicaul, fliamentous, fascile of successively single few flowered inflorescence with just shorter than the pedicel floral bract.
"Distinguished by the very small habit with obovate leaves, a fascile of successive flowers borne by a peduncle beyond the tips of the elaves, sepals with narrow, taillike apices, short, acute, ciliate-serrate petals, uncommonly entire and a thickovoid, verrucose lip ciliate above the middle and below the middle with thick, erect, obtuse, marginal angles or lobes."
