Found in Rio de Janiero and Minas Gerais states of Brazil on trunks and large branches at elvations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, leathery, dark olive green, conduplicate leaf that blooms in trhe summer on a .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
