Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil in primary cloud forests at elevations of 900 to 1300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing, long-repent epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by 2 sheaths in the lower half and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblong, fleshy, dark green, conduplicate leaf that blooms in the fall on a short 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence
