Found in Peru without collection data as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with ercet, slender, provided with a central and a basal sheath, sharply ancipitous, ramicauls carrying a single, apical, erect to suberect, ovate, acute, cuneate sessile, entire, corriaceous leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on a fascile of solitary, successive flowers arising through a spathaceous bract.

Part of the P crocodiliceps group which consists of P arietina, P microchila, P nelsonii, P manningiana, P andreae, and P kelsoae
