Found in Sulawesi in humus on the forest floor at elevations of 180 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a creeping rhizome giving rise to slender, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, yellow spotted, narrow-elliptic, gradually narrowing below into the distinct petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a terminal, erect, to 20" [50 cm] long, successively 1 to 2, top 20 flowered inflorescence
