Found in the Philippines at elevations around 1000 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with clustered, purple pseudobulbs enveloped by persistent fibers carrying oblong to lanceolate, plicate, long petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on an erect, hairy, to 20" [50 cm] long, longer than the leaves, few flowered inflorescence.
