Found in New Guinea in lowland forests as a large to giant sized, hot growing terrestrial with a creeping rhizome with 1.4" [3.5 cm] between each erect, angular, 18 noded pseudobulbs carrying 10, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, 5 veined beneath, plicate,cuneate below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, peduncle pubescent, with tubular, obtuse to acuminate, sparsely pubescent bracts, rachis 11.2" [28 cm] long, densely pubescent, to 40 flowered inflorescence with broadly lanceolate, acuminate, densely pubescent, 8 veined floral bracts and carrying yellow flowers with red dots.
