Found in the Philippines in damp forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with cylindrical, basally swollen carrying a single, narrowly lanceolate, plicate, long petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall, winter, spring and summer on an erect, hairy, to 32" [80 cm] long, much longer than the leaves, successively several, many flowered inflorescence.
