Common Name The Mt Tor Plocoglottis [A mountain in northwestern Papua New Guinea]

Found in New Guinea in lowland forests at elevations around 40 meters as a large sized, hot growing terrestrial with an elongate pseudobulb stem enveloped basally by decaying sheaths and carrying 7, elongate-lanceolate, acute-acuminate, 5 prominent veined beneath, plicate, cuneate below into the tubular leaf sheaths that blooms in the spring on an erect, robust, elongate, rachis thick, obtusely angular, densely velutinous-pubescent, laxly many flowered inflorescence with persistent, stronhgly patent, ovate-triangular, basally concave, otherwise convex, sptrongly acuminate, pubescent floral bracts and carrying fleshy, dorsally pubescent flwoers without color data.
