Found in Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Java, Sumatra, Borneo and the Philippines in lowland, hill, lower montane and moss forests amongst mosses low down on tree trunks at elevations of [Sea-level] 150 to 1500 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte on trees or lithophye on mossy rocks near waterfalls with a rarely branching stem carrying 2 rows of distichous, imbricate, oblong, obtuse and finely apiculate leaves that blooms on a terminal, occasionally lateral, .55" to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, 2 ranked, many flowered, fractiflex inflorescence with persistent, ovate, acute, concave floral bracts with barely opening, small flowers
