Found in Sumatra at low elevations as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a branching, rather fine, long, some pendulous stems carrying 2 ranked, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, thin leaves that blooms on a terminal, short, usually single flowered inflorescence carrying greenish flowers with a red blotch on each petal

Schlechter stated that this orchid is similar to P appendiculatum but differs in the lip shape.
