Found in Sri Lanka in tropical wet evergreen forests at eelvations up tp 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with lateral to pendent, nonpseudobulbous stems enveloped completely by basally imbricating, clasping leaf sheaths and carrying many 2 ranked, laterally compressed, lanceolate, slightly recurved, obtuse leaves that blooms in the fall, winter and early spring on a terminal, 2.8" [7 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate, 3 veined floral bracts
