Found in western Sumatra in lowland forests at elevations around 700 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with short and hanging rhizomes giving rise to rarely branching, leafy stems, enveloped completely by tightly clasping leaf bearing sheaths and carrying oblong to strap-shaped, apiculate widest in the midle leaves that blooms on a terminal to lateral, slender, .6" [1.5 cm] long, longer than the leaves, laxly few flowered inflorescence with ovate-lanceolate, more or less obtuse floral bracts.
