Found as a small to large sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial occuring in Sao Paulo, Brazil, near the coast in dunes under bushes or in low scrub brush arising in the fall and early winter in situ. They have elongate gray green stems carrying clasping, alternate, ovoid-lanceolate, furry leaves from which 1 to 3, single flowered inflorescence arise from the clasping leaf bases near the apex of the stem.
