Common Name Schenk's Pogoniopsis [German Plant collector later 1800's early 1900's]

Found in southern Brazil as a small sized, warm to cool growing, mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with an erect, thin stem enveloped by obovate-oblong, imbricate, dark chestnut brown sheaths that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, slightly arched, 2.28" [5.7 cm] long, spaced, secund, enveloped by the floral bract, few flowered inflorescence with a very concave to erect patent, brown orange, longer than the ovary floral bract. .
