Found in northeastern Madagascar in tropical woods on shady rocks at elevations of 150 to 700 meters as a small to medium sized, hot to warm growing lithophyte with elongated pseudobulbs carrying 3, linear-ligulate, coriaceous but thin leaves that blooms in the summer on a terminal, peduncle alomost completely enveloped by 3, long, narrow sheaths, rachis glabrous, to 8" [to 20 cm] long, often paniculate, several flowered inflorescence with deltoid-acuminate floral bracts.
