Common Name The Banco Polystachya [A National Park within Ivory Coast]

Found in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Liberia in lowland rainforests on tree trunks as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with elliptic, compressed, 1 to 3 noded pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, oblanceolate, acute, shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a pendent, 2 to 3.6" [5 to 9 cm] long overall, peduncle .6 to .8" [1.5 to 2 cm] long, provided with 1 to 2, acute bracts, rachis pubescent, usually non-branched, 6 to 15 flowered inflorescence with ovate, pubescent, acuminate as long as the ovary floral bracts and carrying pubescent on the exterior flowers.
Similar to and in the past considered a synonym of P affinis but it is separated quickly by its size and bloom time, as well as in floral morphology.
