Found in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi and Zimbabwe on small trees and bushes in cloudy hill forests at elevations of 1100 to 1800 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte or occasional lithophyte with clustered, ovoid to ovoid-conical pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, ligulate to oblong-ligulate or oblong lanceolate, rounded and unequally bilobed apcially leaves that blooms in the fall and winter on a terminal, erect, 3 to 5" [7.5 to 12.5 cm], 2 to 6 flowered inflorecence with fragrant bannana to strawberry scented, shortly pubescent flowers
