Common Name Cooper's Polystachya [Original Collector of species 1900's]

Found in Nigeria and southwest Cameroon in montane woodlands at elevations of 1600 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with narrowly cylindrical pseudobulbs enveloped by basal sheaths and carrying 2 to 3, elliptic to lanceolate-ellitpic, obtuse to acute, shortly bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on a terminal, simple, glabrous, 1.6 to 2.2" [4 to 5.5 cm] long, subdensely few flowered inflorescence with triangular-lanceolate, acute glabrous floral bracts.
