Found in mid central to northern Madagascar in lichen rich montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, linear leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, 4 to 15 flowered inflorescence
The plant in the photo is not the normal variety, it is Polystachya cornigera var. integrilabia and is the type photo for the variety
