Common Name de Wanckel's Polystachya [Original Collector of species 1900's]

Flower Size

Found in Zaire and Rwanda in montane forests at elevations of 1400 to 2200 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with filiform pseudobulbs carrying a single, oblong leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on a terminal, simple, glabrous, 3.2 to 4.8" [8 to 12 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence.
