Common Name The Disa-Like Polystachya

Found in southeastern Kenya and northeastern Tanzania in montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with clustered, very small, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, conduplcate, sage-green, spotted and lined with purple, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, obtuse to rounded apically leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, unbranched, peduncle terete, villose, to .8" [2 cm] long, to 2.2" [5.5 cm] long overall, 3 to 9 flowered inflorescence with ovate, acuminate floral bracts.
