Found in Rwanda, Uganda and southwestern Kenya in forests at elevations of 1000 to 2350 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing, pendulous epiphyte with superposed, arising from the middle of the previous growth, cylindrical to more or less fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped basally by leaf sheath bases carrying 3 to 5, more or less spreading, lanceolate to ligulate-oblong, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a laxly 3 to 4 branching, peduncle .8 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] long, slender, slightly compressed, pubescent 1.6 to 2.8" [4 to 7 cm] long overall, many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts.
