Found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Zaire and Kenya in dry montane and secondary riverine forests at elevations around 390 to 1650 meters as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with narrowly cylindric, loosely clustered pseudobulbs enveloped by 3 to 4 sheaths and carrying a single, coriaceous, linear-lanceolate to oblong, obtuse to acute, articulated below into the cuneate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, erect, peduncle stout, pubescent, shorter than the leaf, 2.2 to 6" [5.5 to 15 cm] long, simple to rarely branched, rachis densely pubescent, laxly to 20 flowered inflorescence.
