Found in Burundi, Zaire and and Tanzania in open montane forests in dry places over rocks at elevations of 2000 to 30050 as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial or epiphyte with filiform pseudobulbs enveloped by 2 basal sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, linear to oblong, obtuse to acute leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, erect, zig-zag, 14 to 14.8" [35 to 37 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with triangular, acute floral bracts.
