Common Name Heckel's Polystachya
Flower Size 3/4" [2.2 cm]
Found in northern Madagascar in lichen rich forest at elevations of 1000 to 1700 meters as a small to medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with close set pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4, ligulate leaves that blooms in the fall on a shorter, provided with 2 very long sheaths, not branched, dense, rachis gnarled, thick, 8 to 15 flowered inflorescence
