Found in northeastern Zambia in riverine forest margins at elevations around 1200 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte with clustered,, narrowly cylindrical, 2 node pseudobulbs enveloped by 3 loose, tubular sheaths in youth and carrying a single, apical, erect, oblanceolate to narrowly elliptic-oblong, obtuse, articulated below into the base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, erect, to 6" [15 cm] long, slightly longer than the leaf, pubescent, unbranched to 1 to 2 branched, laxly several flowered inflorescence subtended by a basal sheath
