Found in Siera Leone, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Nigeria, Gulf of Guinea Islands, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Zaire, Uganda and Tanzania in wet forests at elevations of 600 to 900 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with obscure, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, oblanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, subacute to obtuse, articulated to the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, paniculate, 2 to 10.8" [5 to 27 cm] long, produced with or after the deciduous leaves, many flowered inflorescence.
