Common Name The Red Lipped Polystachya

Flower Size 3/8" [.9 cm]

Found in Madagascar in lichen forests at elevations of 1400 to 2000 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terestrial or occasional epiphyte with cauliform pseudobulbs carrying 3 to 4 linear-lingulate, slightly attenuate basally leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a 8" [20 cm] long, branched inflorescence with 2 ancipitous, wide sheaths and narrowly lanceolate floral bracts that are longer than the flowers.
