Common Name The Bristle Carrying Polystachya

Found in only on Principe of Gulf of Guinea Islands in evergreen forests at elevations of 260 to 360 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with superposed, swollen basally, pseudobulbs carrying 4, apical oblong-elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, obtuse leaves that blooms in the winter and the fall on a terminal, erect, paniculate, rachis purple, pubescent, to 8.8" [22 cm] long, to 50 flowered inflorescence with setaceous, acuminate, acute, green floral bracts.
