Common Name The Teite Polystachya [A district of southeastern Kenya]

Found only in southeastern Kenya in montane mist forests at elevations of 800 to 900 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustereed, conical pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate or oblanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate floral bracts with the pubescent flowers held close together at the apex of the inflorescence.
