Found in Peru on densely shaded moist cliffs in montane rainforests at elevations of 700 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with ovoid-pyriform, 4-angled, lightly sulcate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, broadly elliptic, petiolate, acuminate leaf that blooms in the winter on a suberect to arching, basal, racemose, 22" [55 cm] long, many [15 to 18] flowered inflorescence with 4 to 5 tubular bracts and ovate-triangular floral bracts.
