Found in east central Tanzania in rather dry montane forests at elvations around 1200 to 1620 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte or terrestrial with narrowly conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, erect, oblanceolate, acute leaf that blooms on a shorter than the leaf, peduncle wiry, somewhat arcuate, to 3.2" [8.5 cm] long, rachis.6 t o1" [1.5 to 2.5 cm] long, 4.4" [11 cm] long overall, glabrous, simple to 1 branched, 4 to 5 flowered inflorescence with distichous, ovate, acuminate floral bracts and carrying sweetly scented flowers.
