Found in Zaire, Burundi and Rwanda at undisclosed locations at elevations around 1500 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with oblong, rather compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, oblong to obovate, obtuse, glaucous green, auriculate basly leaves that blooms in the late winter and spring as well as in the late summer on a terminal, erect, simple to few shortly branched, 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, 15 to 20 flowered inflorescence carrying fleshy flowers
