Common Name The Spider-Like Pomatocalpa

Found in penninsular Malaysia in rather open areas as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with an elongate, climbing stem carrying oblong, curving upwards, not basally twisted, rounded and bilobed apcially leaves that blooms on a several branched, 8 to 16" [20 to 40 cm] long overall, each branch elongating over several weeks, always with a few flowers crowded towards the apex each flower upward facing, white fading to pale greenish yellow with violet spots at the base of the sepals only .
This species has the largest flower of the Malaysian Pomatocalpa.
