Common Name MacPherson's Pomatocalpa [Australian Collector 1800's] - In Australia The Blotched Bladder Orchid

Flower Size 3/8" to 1/2" [10 to 12 mm]

This epiphytic, medium sized, monopodial, hot to warm growing species is found in Queensland Australia and Papua and New Guinea in lowland rainforests at elevations of sealevel to 700 meters in deep shade with a semi-pendant growing stem with leaves all along and blooms in the winter through spring on a lateral, 1 1/4" to 4" [3 to 10 cm] long, crowded, pendant raceme with a few to thirty, fleshy, thick, longlasting flowers.
