Common Name The Diffuse Pomatocalpa

Found in Malaysia, Sumatra and Java on coral rocks, strand vegetation, secondary forests and mixed dipterocarp forests at elevations of sea-level to 800 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing, monopodial epiphyte, lithophyte or terrestrial in grasslands and scrub with stout stems carrying oblong, glossy, coriaceous, tough, shortly and unevenly bilobed apically leaves and blooms in the summer and fall on an axillary, erect, terete, 6 to 16" [15 to 40 cm] long, racemose inflorescence with shortly triangular, acute, concave floral bracts.

This orchid has been known as P latifolia forever but as you can see P diffusum takes precedence as it was published in 1830 and Lindley's publication of Cleisostoma latifolia was in 1840.
