Common Name The Small Notched Hemipilia - in China Chi Yuan Xiao Hong Men Lan
Flower Size .24 to .28" [6 to 7 mm]
Found in northwestern Yunnan province of China on forest slopes and in limestone rubble at elevations around 3400 to 3700 meters as a mini-miature sized, cold growing terrestrial with ellipsoid tubers givong rise to n erect stem provided with 1to 2, membraneous, tubular sheaths and carrying 2, basal, subopposite, green, without any purple spots, lonear-oblong, glabrous, acute apically leaves that blooms in the late spring on an erect, .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with linear-lanceolate to linear, longer than the ovary, acute floral bracts.
