Common Name Tominaga's Ponerorchis - in China Bai Hua Xiao Hong Men Lan

Flower Size

Found in Taiwan on slopes in moist limestone rubble at elevations around 3400 to 3700 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with ovoid to subglobose tubers giving rise to an erect, green stem provided with 1 to 2 tubular, basal sheaths and carrying 1 to 3, cauline, alternate, widely spaced to rarely basally clustered, green, lacking purple spots, lanceolate to linear-oblong, glabrous, acute leaves that blooms in the later summer on an erect, green, .8 to 4"[ 2 to 10 cm] long overall, glabrous, rachis .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, shorter to slightly longer than the ovary floral bracts carrying secund flowers.
