Found in Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico on rocky shady banks at elevations of 700 to 800 meters as a mini-minitature to medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with 4 to 8, oblong, elliptic to obovate, subsessile but often tapering into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a slender, glandular-pubescent, 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] long, few to several flowered inflorecence carrying non-resupinate flowers
