Found in southern India and in the Andaman Islands in moist deciduous and semievergreen forests at elevations around 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with reticulate, dark green pseudobulbs carrying 2 oblong-orbicular, prominent midvein, ciliolate, rounded apically leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on a short, single to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying tomentose flowers
