Found in Laos in dry evergreen primary and secondary forests along rocky streams at elevations of 350 to 400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte or lithophyte with a creeping to clustering rhizome giving rise to close set, flattened, grassy green in youth, dull olive green in maturity, fleshy, oblate to discoid-lenticular, broadly obovate pseudobulbs enveloped by a net of fibers left from disintegrating sheaths and carrying 2, apical, early deciduous arising after flowering, sessile, cordate leaves that blooms in the late fall and early winter on a proteranthous, arisng fromm the apex of a young pseudobulb, single flowered inflorescence with a large, scarious, white, broadly obovate to almost subquadrate floral bract.
