Common Name Kusibab's Potosia [ in honour of Mr. Tadeusz Kusibab, an eminent Polish orchid grower current]

Found in district ferderal,and Nuevo Leon states of Mexico and Guatemala in open and dense moist woods, in deep moulds at elevations around 1500 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial with 4, withered a blooming, in a basal rosette, narrowly ovate-lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, delicate to rather stout, densely glandular just above the base, 14 to 24.4" [35 to 61 cm] long, provided with 7 to 10, tubular, acute to acuminate, glandular outside, thin, delicate, with hyaline margins cauline sheaths, rachis 3.2 to 6.4" [8 to 126 cm] long, lax below, denser above, 20 to 35 flowered inflorescence with oblong to ovate-lanceolate, acute, thin, delicate, subscarious, semi-transparent, glandular outside in the lower half , longer than the vary floral bracts and carrying small, tubular flowers with reflexed lateral sepals.

"This species is characterised by having the hypochile and epichile not separated by a sharp constriction, rather the hypochile is gradually towards the apex transforming into the epichile, which is is longer than wide." Szlachetko 2004
